The Mercedes-Benz 500 E was produced between 1991 and 1995 and is considered a high-performance luxury sedan. It was a joint collaboration between Mercedes and Porsche, as Porsche was tasked with helping to design and build the engine and suspension. The 500 E features a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 322 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It is rear-wheel drive, has four-wheel independent suspension, large brakes, and a top speed of 155 mph. The interior of the 500 E was also luxuriously appointed with leather-trimmed seats, automatic climate control, and power windows and locks. In addition to being a high-performance sedan, the 500 E was also considered a safe car for its time, with an advanced airbag system, traction control, and anti-lock brakes. Today, the 500 E is considered a classic and highly sought-after collectible car.
